My journey

My name is Noor Al Durrah, and I’m here to share my journey of starting my own small business as a young entrepreneur and how I entered the world of delicate folds while discovering the art and skills of origami.

Growing up in a screen-free environment truly shaped my childhood. My mom introduced me to paper crafts when I was very young. We would spend hours together, creating, experimenting, and enjoying the process of making something with our own hands. One day, she introduced me to origami, and I instantly became fascinated by the endless possibilities hidden within a simple sheet of paper.

I started my origami journey using tissue paper before moving on to regular origami paper, slowly learning more about the techniques, folds, and creativity behind this beautiful art form.

When the pandemic began, I had already started developing my folding skills. I was still a beginner, but throughout the years, I learned that when you find something you truly love, you should continue exploring it, improving it, and allowing it to grow from a hobby into something meaningful. I kept practicing, folding new shapes and animals every day, and constantly improving my skills.

Eventually, I had the idea to transform my passion into a small business.

I made my first origami crane four years ago and discovered the endless shapes, designs, and creations that could be made from a single piece of paper. Here at Norigami, every piece is delicately folded with care, love, and intention — created to bring a little joy and a smile to your day.
